7 Recycling/Disposal

7.1 Appliance

The recycling at a later date and the disposal of Vaillant
products are already considered during the product
development. Strict requirements are laid down in the
Vailland standards. When selecting the materials, account
is taken of the material recyclability, the demountability
and separability of materials and components as well as
environmental hazards and health risks during recycling
and depositing of unavoidable parts of non-recycable
residues.
92% of your Vaillant gas-fired atmoSTOR VGH classic
consist of metallic materials which can be molten again
in steel works and are therefor recyclable for an unlimited
period of time. The used plastics are to be marked so
3
that an assortment and fractioning of the materials is
already prepared for later recycling.

7.2 Packing

Vaillant has limited the transport packings of the appli-
ances to strict necessities. The selection of the packing
materials involves consistent consideration of a possible
recycling.
For some time, the high-quality cardboard boxes have
been a very demanded secondary raw material in the
cardboard and paper industry. The used EPS (styropore)
is necessary to protect the products during transport.
EPS can be recycled to 100%. Even the foils and tapes
are made of recyclable plastic.
