This section provides an overview of what is required for a successful GMX 200 installation. Available
GMX 200 configurations are described, and installation considerations are presented.
2.2 P re-Installation Information

Always follow good avionics installation practices per FAA Advisory Circulars (AC) 43.13-1B and
43.13-2A, or later FAA approved revisions of these documents.
Follow the procedure in this manual as it is presented for a successful installation. Read the entire manual
before beginning the procedure. The GMX 200 must be mounted in an FAA approved 6.25" wide radio
stack. Perform the post installation checkout before closing the work area in case problems occur.
Complete an electrical load analysis in accordance with AC 43.13-1B, Chapter 11, on the aircraft prior to
starting modification to ensure aircraft has the ability to carry the GMX 200 load. Refer to Section
the power consumption information. Document the results of the electrical load analysis on FAA Form
337.
