Dial, delete or edit directory entries

Edit a directory entry

1. When a directory entry displays, press
EDIT NUMBER along with the phone number to be edited. If you only want
to edit the name, skip to Step 3.
2. To edit the number:
• Press the dialing keys to add digits.
Press q

CID
or right.
• Press
MUTE
the telephone base to erase a digit.
• Press and hold
X/DELETE on the telephone base to erase all digits.
• Press and hold
dialing pause (a p appears).
3. Press /�ELECT to move on to the name. The screen

shows EDIT NAME along with the name to be edited.
4. To edit the name:
• Press the dialing keys to add characters (page 61).
Press q

CID
or right.
• Press
MUTE
telephone base to erase a character.
• Press and hold
X/DELETE on your telephone base to erase all characters.
5. Press /�ELECT to save the entry. There is a confirmation tone and
