Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.

HIGH-VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER

Wire (OR/RD)

Terminals
Refer to page 4-24 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the high-voltage (H.V.) transformer.
1.
Unplug microwave oven or disconnect
power.
2.
Disconnect the wires from the H.V. trans-
former terminals.
3.
Disconnect the H.V. transformer wires from
the magnetron and the H.V. capacitor.
4.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 1 scale.
5.
Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the fol-
lowing H.V. transformer locations:
Filament wire (org/red) to ground =
Infinite.
Primary terminals (red & white) wires =
less than 1 Ω.
Secondary (red & white) wires = 60 Ω
(approximately).

Refer to page 4-25 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the turntable motor.

Unplug microwave oven or disconnect
power.
Disconnect one of the wires from the
turntable motor terminals.
Set the ohmmeter to the R x 10K scale.
Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
motor terminals. The meter should indi-
cate between 2700 and 3800 Ω.
