SMS (text messages)
Reading an SMS

Open the incoming message list.
The text is displayed. Scroll line by line with
After you have read a new SMS, it is given the status "old" (is no longer shown in bold).
Deleting an SMS

Open the incoming message list.
Changing the character set
If you cannot see any text or can only see incomprehensible symbols, the SMS may have been
written with a different character set (Cyrillic, Greek etc.).

Read the SMS.
(e.g. Turkish, Greek)
The text is shown in the selected character set. The setting only applies to the current SMS.
Replying to or forwarding SMS messages

Read the SMS.

Write and send a new SMS to the sender's number:

Change the text of the SMS:

Answer or send back amended SMS:

Open the incoming message list.

Create a new entry or complete an existing entry (

An attached mailbox identifier is added to the phonebook.
Copying/dialling numbers from an SMS

Read the SMS and scroll to the telephone number. The digits are highlighted.

Complete the entry (

If you also want to use the number to send an SMS:

Save the number with the local area code (dialling code) in the phonebook.
If an SMS contains several numbers, the next number will be highlighted if you scroll down until
the first number disappears from the display.
Notes

The + symbol is not transferred for international area codes.

You should then enter '00' at the start of the number.

If there are no more entries available in the phonebook, you can only overwrite or modify
an existing entry.
