2.8.10 Chassis Open Connector
The “chassis open” function, when enabled, will alert you of a chassis
intrusion event. To use this function, please follow the steps below.
1. Connect the “chassis sensor” cable from the chassis to J2 of the
system board. Whenever a chassis component has been
removed, the sensor sends signal to J2 alerting you of a chassis
intrusion event.
2. Install “Winbond Hardware Doctor Utility” contained in the
provided CD. By default, the “chassis open” function is disabled.
Enable this function so that a warning message will appear
whenever a chassis intrusion event occurs. The utility can also be
configured so that a beeping alarm will sound. Refer to the
“Winbond Hardware Doctor Utility” section in chapter 4 for
information on installing the utility.
