8600-2 will be configured with a MSTI 2 priority of 12288 so that it will become MSTI 2 root if both C3750-
1 and C3750-2 should fail
After all the switches have been configured using the above settings, the traffic flow for each MSTI
instance and CIST should be as that shown in the following diagrams.
