Replacing the system board

To replace the system board:

Slide the power supply away from the back of the
computer, then pull it down and remove it.
Install the new power supply into the case, then install
the three screws to secure the power supply to the case.
Reconnect the power supply cables using your notes
from Step 2.
Replace the side panel, then return the computer to an
upright position.
Reconnect all external cables and the power cord.
Remove the side panel by following the instructions in
"Opening and closing the case" on page
Remove all expansion cards by following the directions
in
"Adding or replacing an expansion card" on page
Remove the front fan by following the directions in
"Replacing the front fan" on page
Remove the memory from your computer by following
the directions in
"Installing memory" on page
Disconnect the power and data cables from the system
board, noting their locations and orientation. (You will
reconnect the cables after you install the new board.)
Remove the power supply by following the directions in
"Replacing the power supply" on page
