9Maintenance
9.1

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS ________________________________________________________

Before you clean, adjust or repair this equipment, push PTO switch to the OFF position, lower front and rear cutting
units to the ground, turn on the parking brake switch, stop the engine and remove the key.
Make sure the mower is parked on a solid and level surface. Never work on a mower that is lifted only by the jack.
Always use the jack stands.
A qualified technician must always do adjustments and maintenance. If the correct adjustments can not be made,
contact your Jacobsen Dealer.
Inspect the equipment according to the maintenance schedule and keep complete records.

Keep the equipment clean.

Keep all moving parts correctly adjusted and lubricated.

Replace worn or damaged parts before you operate the mower.

Keep all fluids at the correct level.

Keep the shields in position and all hardware tight.

Keep the tires correctly inflated.
When you make adjustments or repairs, do not wear jewelry or loose fitting clothing.
Refer to the illustrations in the Parts Manual for the removal and assembly of parts.
When you discard hazardous materials (batteries, lubricants, fuel, anti-freeze), follow your local, state or federal-
recommended procedures.
9.2

MAINTENANCE MODE _____________________________________________________

Maintenance Mode is used by the course manager to set and adjust the
values for the mower. The screens available in Maintenance Mode:
• Calibrate pedal
• Set max mow speed
• Set travel speed
• Enable/Disable Cruise Control
• Traction Mode On/Off
• Switch Status
• Regen Request
• English/Metric Units
• Exit Maintenance Mode
To enter Maintenance Mode, turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
Press the LDU button until the ENTER PIN? screen is shown on the LDU. Use
the joystick to increase or decrease and the LDU button to enter the digits for
the Maintenance Mode pin.
NOTE: The PIN for Maintenance Mode is 6789. Operator must be on the seat,
the parking brake switch in the ON position, the mow switch in the OFF
position and the traction pedal in the Neutral position to enter Maintenance
Mode.
NOTE: The Maintenance Mode PIN can be changed to a different number.
