3.3 Troubleshooting

Following the Basic Checking Flowchart below, check the trouble and refer to the flowchart
corresponding to it (the charts are provided from the next page).
C A U T I O N If the Optical Engine and MAB set and/or the IS board assy. is/are replaced as the
remedy, be sure to refer to the
corresponding adjustment.

3.3.1 Basic Checking Flowchart

Abnormality Check
Exterior Check
Cable Connection
Power ON/OFF

Abnormality Check
Check for abnormality such as noises, smell and disturbance.
Exterior Check
Check the exterior for damage or the like.
Connection Check
Judging from the status, presume the connector with mal-connection.
Removing the Upper Case and check the connection on the MA board
and other boards (improve the connection if needed.)
Power ON/OFF & Initialization Check
Connect the AC cable and turn the power ON.
Check the operation of initialization until the message
"No signal." is displayed.
Check the operation of turning the power OFF."
Image Display & Quality Check
Image Display/Quality
Check the quality of image and I/O signals of
each visual I/O terminal.
Audio I/O's Check
Audio Input/Output
Check the operation of each audio input terminal
and the [A/V Mute] button.
Lens Shutter's Operation Check
Lens Shutter
Check the operation while sliding it.
Check the Mute function while shutting
it when projecting an image.
Control Panel's Operation Check
Control Panel
Check the operation and the function
of each button of Control Panel.
RC & Projector's Operation Check
Remote Control
Check the operation and the function
of each button of Remote Control.
USB mouse's Operation Check
USB Mouse
Check the operation of USB mouse through
USB interface.
Wireless/Wired LAN's Operation Check
Wireless/Wired LAN
Check the operation between the projector
(EMP-1825/1815 only)
and the computer on each LAN.
