CYLINDER AND PISTON
3. Install:
8 gasket
8 dowel pins
4. Lubricate:
8 piston
8 piston rings
8 cylinder
(with the recommended lubricant)
Recommended lubricant
Engine oil
5. Offset:
8 piston ring end gaps
a Top ring
b Lower oil ring rail
c Upper oil ring rail
d 2nd ring
A Exhaust side
6. Install:
8 timing chain guide (exhaust side)
8cylinder 1
NOTE:
8 While compressing the piston rings with one
hand, install the cylinder with the other
hand.
8 Pass the timing chain and timing chain
guide (exhaust side) through the timing
chain cavity.
