Lip Sync Correction

Depending on the system format and the system configuration, you may need to correct the amount of
delay in the audio input signal in relation to the amount of delay in the video signal from the camera (lip
sync correction).
If the time code is input via the TC IN connector, be sure to correct the time code similarly.
For formats that record audio (i.e., formats other than Select FPS), the delay duration for the camera in
relation to the audio input is 0.5 to 1 frame, as shown in the following. Therefore, this unit's factory default
setting for the input delay duration of the audio signal or time code is 1 frame. If necessary, you can change
the delay duration in 1-frame increments.

The delay durations for the video signal from the F65 to the unit are as follows.

• The delay setting for the recorded audio signal can be configured with "INPUT DELAY" in the AUDIO
Setup menu (see page 55).
• The delay setting for the recorded time code can be configured with "TC Delay" under "OTHERS" in
the TC Setup menu (see page 53).
