Jumpers

Figure 3 shows the location of the jumper block
on the motherboard. The jumpers have been
set correctly at the factory. Normally, the only
time you will have to change a jumper is if you
need to do one of the following:
Clear the user or administrator password
Reset CMOS RAM to the default values
Disable or enable access to the Setup
program
Configure the motherboard for a different
processor speed
NOTE
As shown in Figure 3, a jumper is a small
plastic-encased conductor that slips over
jumper pins. To change a jumper setting,
remove the jumper from the pins and slide
it onto the new pins to obtain the desired
setting. You can use a pair of fine needle
nose pliers to remove and install jumpers.

To avoid bending or breaking pins, use
caution when removing or installing a
jumper.
