Connecting the communication cable to the outboard motor
3-pin communication coupler
Opening the Yamaha Diagnostic System
1. Turn the engine start switch of the outboard motor to ON.
2. Turn on your computer and start up Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, or Windows 2000.
3. From the taskbar at the bottom of your computer screen, click the Start button (Fig. 4), point to
Programs, and then click Yamaha Diagnostic System.
