Adding and registering handsets
Register a handset to your telephone base for
AT&T models TL96151/TL96271/TL96371/TL96451/TL96471
1. Make sure the handset is out of the telephone
base or �har�er and shows Put handset on
BASE to register before �ou be�in re�istration.
2. Put the handset �ou wish to re�ister on the
telephone base �radle, not the �har�er.
3. The handset displa�s Registering handset...,
and the telephone base s�reen displa�s
Registering... Please wait. It takes about 90
se�onds to �omplete the re�istration pro�ess.
The handset displa�s HANDSET X Registered
(X represents the re�istered handset number),
and beeps when re�istration �ompletes.
If re�istration fails, the s�stem will
automati�all� tr� to re�ister a�ain. If it fails
after the third tr�, the handset displa�s
Registration failed, then Put handset on
BASE to register. The telephone base s�reen
displa�s Registration failed and then returns
to the idle s�reen. This ma� take up to five
minutes to o��ur. When the handset displa�s
Put handset on BASE to register, please start
a�ain from Step 1.
NOTES:
• You �annot re�ister a handset if an� other s�stem
handset is in use.
• Registration slots are full shows on the base
s�reen while �ou are doin� Step 3.
