Line Control
PRTS
The display station controls the RS-232C signal line using
PRTS (permanent request to send). In this mode, RTS
(request to send) is always set to ON, and CTS (clear to
send) and DSR (data set ready) are monitored to check the
modem status.
IPRTS
The display station controls the RS-232C sigt).alline using
IPRTS (induced permanent request to send). In this
mode, RTS is always set to ON, and CTS and DSR are
always assumed ON.
eRTS
The display station controls the RS-232C signal line using
the CRTS (controlled request to send). CRTS looks at the
CTS, DSR and CD (carrier detect) signals to determine the
status of the display station. The display station enters
sending mode
when the CD signal is off or enters
receiving
mode
when the CD signal is on.'
Break Signal

The display station sends a 500 ms break signal to the host
system when the

key is pressed.

The display station sends a 170 ms break signal to thehost
system when the
Brea.k
key is pressed.
Send Null
ON
The trailing null characters are not sent to the host system.
Suppress

The trailing null characters are replaced with space
characters and sent to the host system.

is selected and the receiving buffer of the display
station becomes almost full, the display station sends the
XOFF character to the host system. If the XOFF
condition is removed, the display station sends the XON
character to the host system. If the line turnaround
character DC3 is selected, this option is disabled.
