12.3 Internal tightness testing

Switch off the heating system using the main switch.
Test the internal tightness of the gas burner fitting on
the inlet side, applying a test pressure of 7.7 inch
W.C. (20 mbar) in case of natural gas and 19.2 inch
W.C. (50 mbar) in case of LPG.
After one minute the pressure must not have dropped by
more than 3.8 inch W.C. (10 mbar).
If the pressure has dropped more, you must check
the tightness of all gaskets and joints upstream of the
gas burner fitting using a foaming agent. Repeat the
pressure test if no leaks are found. If the pressure
has again dropped by more than 3.8 inch W.C.
(10 mbar) per minute you will have to replace the gas
burner fitting.
