Updating the Wireless
Adapter
You can update the wireless adapter by loading a version
up file stored on the root directory of an SD card.
Even though you update the wireless adapter, the setting
value is retained. You can use the wireless adapter as is.
However, the Job List items are reset.

Insert an SD card with the file of the latest version
is saved to and turn on the power.

Connect the terminal device to the wireless adapter
via the wireless LAN, start the browser on the
terminal device, then access the wireless adapter
from the browser (page 9).
The "Device Status" screen appears.

Touch " " > "Settings" > "Wireless Adapter" >
"System Settings."
The "System Settings" screen appears.

Touch "Firmware Update."
The "Firmware Update" screen appears.

Touch "Update" to load the file from the SD card.
While updating, only the power indicator lights up,
and "Firmware updating It takes several minutes,
please wait." appears.
After a few moments, "After all LED blinking,
please power off-> on." appears.

The wireless adapter restarts, and the STATUS,
REC, and ST indicators flash.
While restarting, the Web menu does not appear on
the browser.
Note
If you turn the wireless adapter off while updating,
the update will not complete. In this case, repeat the
steps from the beginning.

Turn the wireless adapter off, then turn the wireless
adapter on.
The wireless adapter starts with the new version of
the firmware.
You can check the version on the "Device Status"
screen (page 21).
If the updating fails
If the updating fails, the STATUS indicator flashes in
red. In this case, repeat the steps from the beginning.
Outputting the log file
If an abnormality occurs in the wireless adapter, the log
can be recorded on an SD card. The log file is encrypted,
and cannot be checked by a customer. Contact a Sony
service representative and submit the log file as
necessary.
