(15) HDD Unit [For DZ-BD7HA]

Note:
1) The HDD unit is a very delicate device, extremely susceptible to vibration or impact: Handle it
with care, referring to "1-4 Cautions when Handling 1.8-inch HDD (Hard Disk Drive) for Cam-
corder".
2) Take care when handling a removed HDD in order to prevent personal data from leaking out.
If the data on HDD is erased during the formatting function, it will be readable when special
software is used. It is recommended to physically destroy the HDD when discarding it, to prevent
data leaks.
1) Remove the top and bottom HDD cushions (a).
Procedure for reassembly/caution
1) Be sure to attach the cushions in the orientation shown in the fi gure. There is no specifi cation for
top and bottom cushions because they are the same.
2) When replacing the HDD unit, paste the ground sheet (c) to the specifi ed position.
3) When attaching a new HDD unit, always initialize it.
Information:
With DZ-BD7HA, a HDD unit used (recorded) on another DZ-BD7HA can be re-used without any
special operation/work.
