Message
Check disc
Check HDD
Control Information Error.
Disc almost full
Disc error has occurred.
Disc error has occurred.
Finalizing is not complete.
Cause/condition for
message to appear
Appears when disc that cannot be used
on the DZ-BD7HA/BD70A, or logically
damaged BD/DVD (warped or distorted),
was loaded.
If the type of disc is acceptable, and there
is no scratch or distortion, the BD/DVD
may be defective.
Appears when a fault in HDD is detect-
ed.
Also appears when reading or writing
from/to recorded fi le cannot be performed
because the BD/DVD is dirty.
Appears when mismatch between
recorded scene and scene information
occurs. Such a mismatch occurs when
editing is performed near the limit of
disc storage capacity, or when the control
information fi le is operated using a de-
vice other than the DZ-BD7HA/BD70A.
Appears when the movie recordable
capacity on the BD/DVD is less than one
minute.
Also appears when reading or writing
from/to recorded fi le cannot be per-
formed be cause the BD/DVD is dirty.
Appears when the disc has been edited
on a device other than the DZ-BD7HA/
BD70A, and mismatch has occurred in
recorded data.
Appears when the BD/DVD could not be
fi nalized because it was dirty.
Appears if accident, such as power off,
has occurred during fi nalizing.
If the message still appears even when
the BD/DVD has been cleaned and fi nal-
ized again and again, the BD/DVD may
be defective.

Troubleshooting
Check the type of BD/DVD, and for
scratch or distortion on BD/DVD: If
the BD/DVD is scratched or distorted,
replace it.
Replace the BD/DVD.
If HDD protection has been engaged,
release it. If HDD protection has not
been engaged, replace the HDD.
Refer to "4-3-5 Cleaning BD/DVD and
optical pickup" and clean the BD/
DVD. Or replace the BD/DVD.
Update the control information. (Start
Disc Navigation, press the MENU
button, and then execute "Update
Control Info." in the "BD/DVD Set-
ting" menu.
Delete unnecessary scenes.
Or replace the BD/DVD.
Refer to "4-3-5 Cleaning BD/DVD
and optical pickup" and clean the
BD/DVD. Or replace the BD/DVD.
Format the BD/DVD (deleting all re-
corded data), or replace the BD/DVD.
Refer to "4-3-5 Cleaning BD/DVD
and optical pickup" and clean the
BD/DVD. Or replace the BD/DVD.
Turn the power switch to "OFF",
disconnect the AC adapter/charger
and then reconnect it, turn the power
switch to the "BD/DVD" mode, and
then perform fi nalizing again. Or
remove the BD/DVD once, insert it
again, and then fi nalize it again.
Replace the BD/DVD.
