2.14 Wireless LAN Troubleshooting
Procedure 2 Antenna Connection Check
The wireless LAN antenna and Wireless LAN card are connected as shown below:
Any of the connections may be disconnected. Disassemble the computer following the steps
described in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures, and perform the following checks:
Check 1 Make sure the wireless communication switch is "On".
If the switch is "Off", turn it "On". If the wireless LAN is still not functioning
properly, perform Check 2.
Check 2 Check the connections of Wireless LAN antenna, Wireless LAN card, PC board
and System board. If any connection is loose, secure it. If the problem still occurs,
perform Check 3.
Check 3 Check if the wireless LAN antenna is firmly connected to the Wireless LAN card.
If not, connect it securely. If the problem still occurs, perform Procedure 3.
