1-2. Scanner Functions

Data scanned from the copier can be sent over the internet as an attachment file of an E-mail or uploaded to
a file server via FTP.
The machine will store the complete file and send out the data in packets.
The scan to box feature can be used to store scanned data on the optional hard disk.
Data Stored on the hard disk can be imported into the computer via the Ethernet, sent over the Internet as E-
mail attached files, or uploaded to FTP file servers.

When documents are scanned, the [Quality], [Magnification ratio], [Resolution], [Continuous pages], [Erase
outside of document], etc. can be specified.
G The [Scan to box] function requires the optional hard disk.
For more details, consult your network administrator.
G When using the scanner functions, connect with the computer via Ethernet. The scanner functions can-
not be used from the parallel port.
G The copier must have the appropriate IP Address assigned and the TCP/IP network is enabled. For
mode details on the network settings, ask the network administrator.
