Press down the print head until the head
lock lever is locked.

Press the media guide  lightly against
the end of the media, then turn the knob 
to lock the media guide.

Close the top cover.

After loading the media and ribbon, do a
test print to make sure that the media is
loaded correctly.
Refer to Test Print menu in Section 4.4.5 Tools
Menu for how to do a test print.
CAUTION
• When closing the top cover, be careful not to pinch your finger.

Loading Fan-fold Media

Put the fan-fold media on a flat location, then load the media from the rear of the printer or from the
media slot at the bottom of the printer.
The routing path of the media is as shown
on the right figure.
When loading the media, make sure that
the print side faces up.
After passing the media through the slot,
refer to the steps 5 to 10 of
to load the media.

Note:
If the media jam occurs frequently due to the media is loaded from the bottom of the printer, change to load
the media from the rear of the printer.
