Brake Adjustment

Every time you apply the brakes,
your disc brakes adjust themselves
for wear.

Brake Pedal Travel

See your dealer if the brake pedal
does not return to normal height,
or if there is a rapid increase in
pedal travel. This could be a sign of
brake trouble.

Antilock Brake System

The antilock brake system helps
you maintain directional stability
on wet or slippery road surfaces. It
automatically controls the brake
operation when braking.
As you brake, the system receives
updates on wheel speed and
controls braking pressure at each
wheel separately to make the most
of available tire and road
conditions.
Section 3
This occurs only during a brake
application which would have
caused one or more wheels to
lock. You don't have to 'pump' the
brakes. Just hold the brake pedal
down. You may feel or hear it
pulsate, but this is normal.
If the Antilock Brake System Warn-
ing Light turns on, there is a prob-
lem with the brake system.
See "Antilock Brake System Warn-
ing Light" in Section 1 for more
information.
