1. If you are using a USB Flash Drive, skip to step 3. If you are connecting your DVR directly to
your computer, select the hard drive that you would like to put the update file in with the
"Choose Drive Num" field (default is 1), then click "OK".
Note: Please make sure the correct disk is selected or the information on your hard disk will
be destroyed.
2. If the option in the above step is correct the information of your DVR's Hard Disk will be
shown under "Serial Number", "Capacity", and "Drive Type".
3. Select "delete the source file after upgrading" to make your DVR remove the update file
after firmware update.
4. If you would like to only place the update file on a USB drive, please select the "Only
Update to USB Device" option.
5. Click "Browse..." to select the update file.
6. Click the "LoadFileToDisk" button to write the update file to your DVR.
7. "Safely Remove" the USB connection of either the DVR or the USB Drive from your
computer by first using the Safely remove USB Devices of Windows®.
8. Disconnect the USB Cable or USB Drive to your computer. Plug the USB Drive to your
DVR if the update file is written on the USB Drive.
9. Restart your DVR. The DVR will check the update file automatically and start the update
process. During the update, the alarms of the DVR will sound and the screen might
flicker. Do not remove power or press any button on the DVR, remote or mouse.
10. After the update is complete, the DVR will restart and the main menu will be shown. If
update failed, please turn off your DVR and restart. Contact Technical Support if update
failed after several tries.
