Lighting Switch
The lighting
switch
is
mounted
near the left
end of
instru-
ment panel. All current entering
the lighting
switch
passes
through a 30 ampere
thermal
circuit
breaker. If all lights
faU
to
op~rate
look for
trouble at this circuit
breaker,
the light
switch
or the wiring
between
the
battery
and
light switch. Tail
and stop
.
lamp
circuits are
protected by
fuses
located in a fuse box.
Fuse Box
Description. The fuse. box
on all
models
except
Forward Con-
trol
units is mounted
on the
left
side of
the
cowl
(fig. 62).
Fuse
box
on
Forward Control units is
generally
located
above
the
steering column under
the
i~strument
panel. Twenty ampere
fuses
are used
for the
taillight and stop
light
circuits. All other
lights are protected
by
a circuit
breaker located in the lighting
switch.

The
fuse
box
cover
is
a snap on
type
with
a.
spare
fuse clip
containing
one
fuse
located inside the
cover.
Fuse Replacement. In
case
tail
or stoplights
should fail to
operate it
is advisable
to check the fuse
in
that
circuit. See
Figure 62.
Remove
the
cover.
Pull the fuse
straight
out of the
fuse
clips
and
replace
it
with a fuse
known to
be
in good condi-
tion.
Place
the cover
in position and
snap
into place. In case
the new fuse burns
out as soon as
the circuit
is
tested,
the
cir-
