PHONIC)
Using the 3D PHONIC function, you can get a simulated
surround effect from your stereo system.

During playback, press 3D PHONIC.
The 3D PHONIC window appears on the TV.

Natural and warm sound. You can enjoy movies in a

You can enjoy sound effects like in a theatre.
3D PHONIC
• NONE
To cancel 3D PHONIC.

You can set the effect level from "1" to "5" separately
for each mode.
The higher value enhances the effect.
To clear the 3D PHONIC window
Press 3D PHONIC again.
To cancel the effect
Select "NONE" in step 2 above
• Turning off the unit also cancels the effect.
NOTES
• The 3D PHONIC window disappears if no operation is made
for about 10 seconds.
• 3D PHONIC works correctly only when playing back a Dolby
Digital encoded DVD Video. However, if Dolby Digital does
not contain the rear signal, you will not be able to achieve a
correct 3D effect.
• 3D PHONIC does not affect output through the DIGITAL OUT
connectors on the rear.
• While 3D PHONIC is activated, the "ANALOG DOWN MIX"
setting (see page 78) is temporarily cancelled.
