Airbag Systems
Operation for Removal of the Steering wheel air bag
Insert a flat screwdriver into the aperture (1) located
Behind the steering wheel. Unclip the driver's front airbag by pushing in the direction
Of the arrow (2).
Unlock at (3) the driver's front airbag connectors (4). Disconnect the connectors (4) from the
driver's front airbag. Remove the driver's front airbag.

Refitting Operation

Check that there are no foreign bodies (anti-rotation pin of the steering column controls, etc.)
Between the steering wheel and the driver's front airbag. Connect the connectors for the
driver's frontal airbag. Lock the driver's front airbag connectors. Refit the driver's front airbag
onto the steering wheel. Clip on the driver's front airbag. Check that the driver's front airbag is
properly clipped onto the steering wheel: - try to unclip the driver's front airbag by pushing
upwards.

Final Operation

Refit the covers under the steering wheel. Connect the battery Switch on the ignition. Check
the operating clearances for the audible warning in the upper section of the driver's front airbag
Module on the steering wheel. Check that there are no faults on the instrument panel.
