REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION (Continued)
HEADLINING
R E M O V A L
(1) Remove sun visors.
(2) Remove push I n fasteners attaching headlining
to roof panel at sides of headlining (Fig. 57).
(3) Remove push i n fasteners attaching headlining
to roof panel at center of headlining.
(4) Remove t r u n k t r i m panel .
(5) Disconnect map lamp w i r i n g connector from
body w i r i n g harness.
(6) Remove screws at rear of headlining attaching
headlining to the sport bar(Fig. 58).
(7) Remove headlining from vehicle.
(8) Remove headlining through passenger door.

INSTALLATION
(1) I n s t a l l headlining through passenger door.
(2) Insert front edge of headlining between w i n d -
shield surround and roof panel.
(3) Connect map lamp w i r i n g connector to body
w i r i n g harness.
(4) Raise headlining to roof panel and position
between liftgate weather-strip and roof.
(5) I n s t a l l screws to attach headlining to sport bar.
(6) I n s t a l l push i n fasteners to attach headlining
to roof panel at sides of headlining.
(7) I n s t a l l push i n fasteners to attach headlining
to roof panel at center of headlining.
(8) I n s t a l l t r u n k t r i m panels.
(9) I n s t a l l sun visors.
QUARTER PANEL-ROADSTER

(1) Remove rear wheelhouse splash shield.
(2) O n r i g h t quarter panel remove fuel f i l l door.
(3) Disconnect rear l i g h t i n g lamps. Refer to Group
8L, Lamps.
(4) Remove t r u n k l i d .
(5) Remove rear bumper fascia. Refer to Group 13,
Frame and Bumpers.
(6) Remove pop rivets holding quarter panel to
t r u n k pan r e a r w a r d of wheel opening (Fig. 59).
(7) Remove pop rivets holding quarter panel to
door surround panel.
(8) Remove pop rivets holding quarter panel to
t r u n k pan along t r u n k upper closeout. Recover any
shims found between quarter panel and t r u n k pan.
(9) Separate quarter panel from vehicle.

INSTALLATION
(1) Position quarter panel to vehicle.
(2) Install any shims, previously removed, between
quarter panel and t r u n k pan.
(3) Verify alignment of quarter panel to t r u n k pan,
sport cap, and t r u n k l i d . Adjust shims as necessary.
(4) Verify t h a t a l l seals between quarter panel and
t r u n k pan are properly positioned and are i n good
condition.
(5) Paint quarter panel as necessary.
