L. Intake Fuel Restrictor Adjustment
(For top or rear vent installations)
See vent graph for recommendations on page 11 before
you begin your adjustment. If your installation falls within
the range of the gray shaded area of graph, it may be
necessary to make an adjustment to the vertical fuel restrictor
to improve the flame appearance in your appliance.
1. Top Vent Installations:

Figure 8.26 Locate the fuel restrictor adjustment on the intake
plenum, accessing through the appliance front. Adjustor is
centered at the top of the appliance.
1. Let appliance warm up before adjusting.
2. Loosen screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.
3. Pivot the vertical fuel restrictor in 1/4 in. (6mm) incre-
ments while observing the fl ame activity.
4. Turning clockwise to open fuel restrictor = less fl ame
height and more blue in fl ame color.
5. Turning counterclockwise to close fuel restrictor =
increased fl ame height and more yellow in fl ame color.
6. Make adjustment until fl ame size and activity suits your
personal preference, and then retighten screws on adjust-
ment control.
2. Rear Vent Installations:
Figure 8.27 The rear vent fuel restrictor is located in the
back of the fi rebox. It is recommended to make adjustment
prior to installation.
1. Remove front/glass/ logs and brick (if installed).
2. Loosen screws and slide up to suggested settings.
3. Tighten screws
4. Re-install front/glass/logs and brick (if applicable).

M. Warming Shelves Installation
Kit Contents: (2) Warming shelves, (2) brackets, and (4)
1/4 in. Phillips Head screws.
Tools Required: Phillips Head screwdriver.
Figure 8.28 Remove warming shelves and hardware from
packaging. Install leveling screw to each warming shelf.
Figure 8.29 Install warming shelf bracket loosely to each
warming shelf using the screw provided.
Figure 8.30 Gently lift cast top off of appliance and set aside.
Install warming shelf to appliance gently aligning the shelf
with the tabs that are in place on the side of the appliance.
Use the leveling screw located in the center of the warming
shelf to adjust the shelf to its desired position.
Figure 8.31 Align bracket to fi rebox and gently tighten the
screw to hold it in place. Reassemble the appliance.
