(10) Piston and Connecting Rod

Plate (Gear Case) (Except V3600-E3CB, V3600-T-E3CB,
V3800DI-T-E3CB)
1. Remove the three plate mounting screws (1).
2. Remove the plate (2).
(When reassembling)
• Apply Three Bond 1217D adhesive or equivalent on the
crankcase like a figure.
• Be sure to fix the O-rings (3).

Oil Pan and Oil Strainer
1. Unscrew the oil pan mounting screws and remove the oil pan (1).
2. Unscrew the oil strainer mounting screw, and remove the oil
strainer (2).
(When reassembling)
• Install the oil strainer, using care not to damage the O-ring.
• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1217D) to the oil pan as shown
in the figure.
• Confirm that the liquid gasket coating surface is free of water,
dust and oil in order to maintain sealing effect.
• Carefully apply the adhesive evenly.
NOTE
• When mounting the adhesive-applied parts, take care to fit
them to the mating parts.
• Assemble the adhesive-applied parts within ten minutes.
• To avoid uneven tightening, tighten mounting screws in
diagonal order from the center.
• After cleaning the oil strainer, install it.
• Attach the oil pan with its central drain plug facing toward
the air suction side.
