Loading Songs From CD-R

You can load songs stored on a CD-R disc with the CD Backup function back into the VS-880EX's
internal hard drive by using the CD Recover procedure. Your songs can then be played back in
their original form. You can also edit and/or record new tracks to your song as well. If you make
changes to your song that you would like to keep, you will need to save them and repeat the CD
Backup procedure (Application Guide page 109) for your backup to reflect the changes.
ACTION: Loading Songs From CD-R (CD Recover)
1.
Insert the desired backup CD into the VS-CDR.
2.
Press [SONG] (under EDIT CONDITION) until "CD Recover?" is displayed.
3.
Press [YES] and "Store Current?" will be displayed. If you have made any changes
you wish to keep that have not already been saved, press [YES]. Otherwise, press
[NO].
4.
Use the TIME/VALUE dial to select the desired song (to load all songs on the disc,
select "All") and press [YES] to begin loading your song(s) from CD.
If you select "All" in step 4, "INIT IDE:0" will be displayed. The VS-
880EX is prompting you to initialize your internal hard drive before
loading the songs from the CD. If you would like to erase all the
songs currently on your internal hard drive and replace them with
the songs on the CD, press [YES]. If you would like to keep the songs
on your internal hard drive and load the songs on the CD in the
remaining space, press [NO].
5.
If your CD backup consists of multiple discs, you will be prompted to insert the
discs as needed. After inserting the necessary disc, press [YES].
6.
After the CD Recover procedure is complete, press [PLAY/DISPLAY] to return to
the main play screen. You can use the Song Select procedure (from the SONG menu
under EDIT/CONDITION) to select the desired song.
