ACTION: Automated Mixing using Gradation
The VS-880EX provides yet another type of automated mixing that is referred to as gradation. In
this type of automation the VS-880EX will interpolate the settings between two marker points
(snapshots). This is a very effective method for creating smooth fadeouts. Use the following
procedure to create a fadeout using gradation:
1.
Advance the VS-880EX to the time location where you want the fadeout to begin.
2.
Press [AUTOMIX] so it is lit.
3.
Adjust fader levels as desired. Hold [AUTOMIX] and press [TAP] (a marker will be
created at that point).
4.
Hold SHIFT and press SONG END [FF].
5.
Move the master fader all the way down.
6.
Hold [AUTOMIX] and press [TAP] (a second marker will be created at that point).
7.
Hold [AUTOMIX] and press [PREVIOUS]. "GRADATION OK?" will be displayed.
8.
Press [YES]. The mixer settings will automatically interpolate between the two
marker points.
