Sync multiple VS-880EX's together

Multiple VS-880EXs can be synchronized using a MIDI cable. The transport controls from the master unit
can control the slave unit(s) and you can route the audio from each slave unit to the mix output of the
master unit for recording a two track mix to DAT, cassette, etc. This is great if you need additional tracks,
or if you want to expand the capabilities of your studio (inputs, effects, etc.).
SYNC:
You can use Digital Word Clock to synchronize the timing of multiple VS-880EXs. Make sure that the
sampling rate for the current song is the same on all units and that all units, with the exception of the final
VS-880EX in the chain, have their master clock set to Digital. Check that the master VS-880EX is set to
transmit system exclusive messages as the MMC master and that all other VS-880EXs are set to receive
system exclusive messages as MMC slaves.
AUDIO:
You can connect the Digital Out port from the slave units to the Digital In port of the next VS-880EX in the
chain. Set the master Stereo In to Digital, and the master Stereo In Balance to zero for all units with the
exception of the final VS-880EX in the chain. You can use the master Stereo In Level on each of the
VS-880EXs to control the overall level of the unit connected to its Digital In port. The audio from all units
will be present in the mix output of the master VS-880EX.
