ELECTRONIC OVERVIEW – MOTOR CONTROLLER PCB
Functional Description
The Motor Controller PCBs are designed to act as an interface between the Drive motor, Display Console, and the
Lift Motor. The desired belt speed and elevation is sent down to the motor controller and lift motor via the users
selected input into the console. The motor is driven by a fixed frequency variable duty cycle signal. If an error
condition is detected the main power relay is opened, the PWM pulse is terminated, and the console is informed.
The main power relay receives its bus voltage from the console through the emergency pull switch. This relay can
be energized by having the emergency pull switch is in its proper place. Opening of the relay does not remove
power to the console or the logic on the motor control board, but will interrupt power to the lift and drive motors.
