CHAPTER 3: WINDOWS NT DRIVER SOFTWARE

This chapter provides information about the Microsoft Windows NT driver software.

Use the Windows NT driver software if you installed the NETGEAR Model GA620

or Model GA620T Gigabit Ethernet Card in a PC that is operating in a

Windows NT environment.

This chapter also gives directions for performing the following procedures:

• Installing the driver software (this page)

• Changing the driver configuration after the driver software is installed (page 3-7)

• Updating or reinstalling the driver software (page 3-8)

• Moving the network card and removing the driver software (page 3-9)

• Internal loopback test

Note: To prevent a system abend when using the Windows NT Network

Monitor, be sure to upgrade the operating system bhnt.sys file to the latest

version available.

Your Gigabit Ethernet Card must be physically installed in the server before

installing the software driver. If you are installing more than one Gigabit Ethernet

Card, you must perform the following procedure for each card.
