Securing your Child

Minimum Use Recommendations
Child must be at least 1 year old, able to sit upright
unassisted and weigh at least 22 lbs. (10 kg) to
use this Car Seat.
Smart Safety Buckle:
The harness system on this Car Seat includes the "Smart Safety
Buckle" that sounds an audible "beep" when unbuckled to alert you if
the buckle becomes unbuckled during travel or use.
1. The Smart Safety Buckle will alert you if your child or anyone
unexpectedly unbuckles the harness system. When unbuckled,
the buckle beeps for 5 to 7 seconds to alert you that the buckle has
been unbuckled and then automatically turns off.
2. The Smart Safety Buckle will beep each time the harness is
unbuckled to remove your child. This reminds you that the system
is present and is still operating.
NOTE: Smart Safety Buckle alarm is only to alert you that the
harness has been unbuckled. It does not indicate secure
locking of the buckle. If for any reason the audible beep
stops working, the buckle can continue to be used. The
buckle should always be pulled up after buckling to ensure
it is locked.
