Recording

By default, the system is set to immediately record video from connected cameras in
Continuous Recording Mode.

Recording—Continuous: Normal, continuous recording

You can set the system to stop recording once the hard drive is full, or to continually record
by overwriting previously recorded data. For more details, see "Configuring Hard Drive
settings" on page 43.

Event Recording

The system also includes motion recording:

Recording—Motion: The system records when motion is detected by the camera

Recording Audio

The system can also record audio for up to 4 channels.
: Audio capable cameras (not included) or self-powered microphones
ATTENTION
are required in order to record audio on the system.
To enable audio recording:

Connect the BNC video cable from the camera
to one of the BNC ports on the rear panel of the
system. For example, connect the camera to
BNC port 1.

Connect the RCA audio cable from the camera
to the corresponding audio channel. Following
the example in step 1, you would connect the
cable to audio port 1 (AIN1).
Connect an RCA audio cable into the "AIN"
(Audio In) ports.
