Detach the FAS-420-TM using test aerosol. Spray the test aerosol either into the first air
sampling opening or into the test adapter on the pipe system.
Use the table below to check the transmission line to the fire panel.
Whether the alarm is displayed on the
aspirating smoke detector
Whether the alarm is transmitted to the
fire panel and reported on the
appropriate line

If this is not the case, ...
– Check whether the display board is
connected
– There is a fault with the aspirating smoke
detector Replace the detector module
– Check the transmission lines
