Fusing temperature control

• A thermistor is used to detect the surface temperature of the heating roller. The heater
lamp is then turned ON and OFF as necessary to achieve the set temperature.
Temperature control during monochrome printing (plain paper)

Heat the heating roller temperature to
178 °C in average 45 seconds.
(100 V – 120 V area)
Heat the heating roller temperature to
178 °C in average 49 seconds.
(220 V – 240 V area)

Heating roller temperature setting: 180 °C
*a: If the heating roller temperature is 60 °C or
less when the warm-up cycle is started, tem-
perature control is performed with the heating
roller temperature setting changed to 185 °C.
(5 min.)
After the lapse of the 5 min. period, the tem-
perature stabilizes at 180 °C.
