ADJUSTMENTS

There are no electrical or mechanical adjustments required on the HP C2858A and C2859A
DesignJet 650C plotters.

CALIBRATIONS

DesignJet 650C plotters have several calibration procedures that must be performed under
certain conditions. Refer to Table 7-1 to determine when calibrations are required.
Indications or Repairs Performed
Hardclip limits not within specification
Platen (drive) roller is replaced
X-axis motor/encoder is replaced
Config Plot X-mark distance is not
500mm ( 1mm.); mono on inkjet film
Media sensor is replaced
Plotter does not detect media presence
Plotter tries to load media, none present
Drop Sensor is removed or replaced
Pen checking constantly rejects pens
Pen service station is removed or replaced
Carriage or Carriage LED is replaced
Edge detect failures occur
Bail failures occur during media loading
EEROM is cleared or replaced
