Command Table

Set-up commands

Use these commands to configure the switcher. If you are using a third-party
control system, you should place these commands in the start-up section of the
program. You only need to send these commands to the switcher once.

MSG Matrix Switchers • Remote Control
Description
Request for model and version information.
Resets the communications port to the factory default (9600
baud, 8-bit, 1 stop bit, no parity, and no flow control)
• Where x = 1
Query the communications port for current settings
• Where x = 1
Configures the communications port for baud rate, flow
control, and duplex
• Where:
x = 1
b = 0 for 1200, 1 for 2400, 2 for 4800, 3 for 9600, 4 for
p = 0 (no parity)
s = 0 (1 stop bit)
f = 0 to disable flow control and 1 to enable flow control
(xOn/xOff)
d = 0 (full duplex) or 1 (half duplex)
Default is 9600 baud, 1 stop bit, 8 data bits, no parity, no flow control, and full duplex
Performs a factory reset. The partial reset will return I/O
configurations, volume levels, and serial set-up to factory
levels. The full reset will return all parameters (including
presets) to factory default levels.
• Where:
x = 0 for partial reset
x = 1 for for full reset
Enable or disable front panel executive mode and request
current status.
• Where:
x = 0 to enable executive mode (no front panel operation)
x = 1 to disable executive mode
x = ? to request current state
x = (blank) to toggle the current state
Enable or disable serial responses from the switcher.
• Where
x = 0 to disable
x = 1 to enable
19200, and 5 for 38400
