Coarse Spray, Spotty Pattern
Excessive Overspray (Fogging)
Spray Pattern Excessively Wide

Excessive Paint Delivery

Pressure setting low

Tip worn beyond use

Spray gun excessively close to
surface

Correction
Increase pressure setting
Use a steady, parallel pass
Reduce pressure setting
Use less thinner/water/reducer
Select narrower fan width tip*
Select wider fan width tip*
Select smaller tip orifice*

Increase pass speed
Replace with new tip*
Service pump
Select larger tip orifice*
