Section 3 - Coniguration
This section allows you to adjust the advanced settings of your wired network. It is not recommended that you make changes
in this section unless you are familiar with these settings, or you have been instructed to do so.
UPnP Settings:
To use the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP
UPnP provides compatibility with networking equipment, software
and peripherals.
WAN Ping:
Unchecking the box will not allow the DIR-615 to respond to pings.
Blocking the ping may provide some extra security from hackers. Check
the box to allow the Internet port to be "pinged".
WAN Port Speed:
You may set the port speed of the Internet port to 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps,
or auto. Some older cable or DSL modems may require you to set the
port speed to 10 Mbps.
IPV4 Multicast
Check the box to allow multicast traffic to pass through the router
Streams:
from the Internet over IPV4 routes.
IPV6 Multicast
Check the box to allow multicast traffic to pass through the router
Streams:
from the Internet over IPV6 routes.
