OLLATING
Collating can be carried out with or without a hard disk drive
(HDD) fitted. However, fitting a HDD will achieve greater
performance.
If the software application being used has a collate print option,
it is recommended to use only one collate option to prevent any
conflicts in printing, i.e. collate from the software application or
collate from the printer driver. When collating from the
application, the print job is sent multiple times to the printer
(slower) whereas when collating from the driver the print job is
sent once to the printer (faster).
The following instructions explain how to select collating using a
printer driver.
1.
Enter the number of copies required.
2.
Check the Collate checkbox.
NOTE
Since the PCL and PostScript windows for all Windows versions
are similar, only the Windows XP PCL window is shown.
