• Analog RGBHV: Select Analog RGBHV to adjust the Gain and Offset for the red,
green and blue channels. These controls are similar to those in the White Balance
menu (described above), but only affect RGB high-definition signals.
The Gain controls increase or decrease the full-scale input range; the Offset controls
shift the entire range, resulting in a change in brightness. Figure 4-6 shows how the
Gain and Offset controls interact with each other.

Generally, higher Gain settings reduce the image contrast; higher

• Analog YPbPr: Select Analog RGBHV from the HDTV Adjust sub-menu to:
• View input signal timing information.
• Adjust the Brightness and Contrast associated with a Video Black Level. The
Brightness and Contrast settings made here can be recalled by choosing the
associated Video Black Level, either here (choose "Setup," then select 0 IRE or
7.5 IRE) or in the Video Black Level sub-menu (refer to Video Black Level on
page 60).
• Adjust the Gain and Offset for the Pb and Pr channels. These controls only affect
component high-definition signals.
