Possible Cause
Clip not inserted in stop switch.
Control lever not in neutral
position.
Fast idle lever raised (side-mount

Out of fuel.
Fuel vent closed (portable fuel

Fuel hose not primed.
Fuel pump filter or fuel tank filter
clogged.
Bad fuel; boat stored without
treating or draining gasoline, or
refueled with bad gasoline.
