Firmware Upgrade
Firmware files are downloaded as required for upgrading the firmware version or for backing up
the system configuration. File names cannot contain slashes (\ or /), the leading letter of the file
name should not be a period (.), and the maximum length for file names on the TFTP server is 127
characters or 31 characters for files on the switch. (Valid characters: A-Z, a-z, 0-9, ".", "-", "_").
The Firmware Upgrade Page contains parameters for downloading system files.
The Firmware Upgrade Page contains the following fields:
Upgrade — Specifies that the firmware download is a firmware upgrade.
Backup — Specifies that the firmware download is a configuration backup.
File Type — Specifies the file type of the downloaded file. The possible field values are:
Software Image — Downloads the Image file.
Boot Code — Downloads the Boot file.
TFTP Server — Specifies the TFTP Server IP Address from which files are downloaded.
