APPENDIX A. CONFIGURATION AND LINE PARAMETERS

The following tables list all of the parameters found in the configuration files downloaded to each phone at
boot up.
Table 12 below
covers only the Line Parameters. The Source column defines the methods that can be used to change or set
the parameter including editing the configuration file, manually entering the setting from the phone's user
interface, accessing the settings through the administrator's Web interface, or using DHCP site-specific
option. The default settings are called out in the Description column. If no default is given, there is no
default setting present for that command.

Sets the message digest 5 (MD5) hash of

a config file so it can be enforced on
subsequent reboots. It is cleared by the
restore factory defaults command. Only
the password in the hashed string can be
changed. The admin:Adtran: part cannot

Sets the policy for handling a preselected
line on an idle phone when it rings.
0=No selection change
1=Select upon audible alert (default)
2=Select away to eligible idle preference

Indicates the name of the application

combination of file name and path can be
up to 32 characters long. A new
application name is specified in a
configuration file and is checked against
the version in flash to decide if a new
version needs to be downloaded.

Indicates the number of minutes the
backlight remains lit when the phone is
idle. The backlight turns on whenever
there is activity on the phone. A setting of
0 will leave the backlight on indefinitely.
