Modifying the Splash Screen

You can customize the IP phone's splash screen presented during boot up by downloading a 216 x 336
pixel, 16-color gray-scale bitmap file to the parameter IconPixmap. Most graphics programs can be used
to modify and save the file.
When defining the splash screen, always begin by using the provided default .bmp file. This makes it
easier to create accurate files. Use only the four colors (black, white, light gray, and dark gray) in the color
palette of the default file.

Bitmap Layout

The bitmap is built in blocks of 16 x 16 pixels. There are 14 x 21 blocks in the IP phone bitmap. The right
most block is only half the width of a normal block or 8 pixels. Each row is one block in height. The
bitmap begins the drawing at the top left corner of each block. Both the IP 706 and IP 712 phone models
use eight rows for the splash screen.
